Arden Moscati

Associate Researcher

Arden is a research scientist at the Charles Bronfman Institute for Personalized Medicine, and the Center for Genomic Health. Among other interests, he explores etiological overlap between traits and disease entities that are often conceived as distinct constructs, for instance the study of comorbidity between multiple disorders. Due to the close relationship between the evolutionary history of human populations and their present-day traits and disease burden, he is beginning to apply a variety of population genetic approaches to investigate the differences and similarities between groups in diverse populations. One of these efforts is inferring the continental and local ancestry of individuals in NHGRI’s Genome Sequencing Program. He was trained at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral genetics, in which disciplines you’ll never guess.
